Brief

People tend to only share the best parts of their Chinese New Year celebrations. After the Malaysian Movement Control Order was lifted, a lot of families were still impacted. Businesses and jobs were affected, and the aftereffects of it lingered. Maxis wanted to tell a festive story that could connect with Malaysians on a deeper level, showcasing the Malaysian spirit of staying ahead by always making the best of what we have.

Solution

Inspired by stories of how innovative Malaysians were during and after the pandemic, we peeled back the curtains behind picture perfect celebrations to showcase what really happens behind the scenes. Through the use of technology, teamwork, and creativity, a family found opportunities to turn little imperfections into a perfect celebration.
