Malaysia was placed 2nd as a country with racial discrimination problems. People tend to dismiss how some of the racial words could be hurtful to other parties, as they deem it as a “joke”. The Jokist Campaign and JokeGPT are initiatives created to educate individuals about racist jokes. JokeGPT is an AI chatbox specifically designed to offer definitions of racist jokes and to explain their potential impact on others, all with the goal of raising awareness about the importance of anti-racism. Besides, the series of posters and Instagram posts are designed to allow people to interact with them and lead to JokeGPT.
