MISC wanted to inspire both seafarers and the general Malaysian public on National Day. This was in the middle of a global pandemic, an economic crisis, and political uncertainty.

Solution

We used the lessons seafarers had learnt about overcoming a storm at sea to inform Malaysians about how we too, could get through this storm closer to home. We ran a print ad on one of the busiest seasons for Malaysian advertisers with no more a message written in morse code that could be deciphered when scanned.
