Tawai, an innovative tiny house project, seamlessly weaves together sustainability, universality, and community in its design. Crafted for the Penan indigenous community in Sarawak, Malaysia, the homes blend traditional cultural elements with modernity.

The circular village layout, comprised of living units, communal spaces, and weaving studios, symbolizes unity. Sustainable features include solar panels, a rainwater collecting system, and Thermasite material, fostering eco-friendly living.

The design prioritizes universal accessibility, with adaptable spaces and a focus on Penan weaving, vital for cultural preservation. Tawai embodies a harmonious blend of heritage, sustainability, and inclusivity, offering a transformative housing solution.
