Sex education is often considered taboo in Malaysia, but this should not be the case. The Malu Monsters Zine
is a publication that aims to make sex education more approachable and enjoyable. By befriending our feelings
of shame and embarrassment, conceptualised “Malu monsters,”
we can develop a more positive mindset and attitude towards
sex education. The zine focuses on three pillars: speak, act, and
perceive, helping readers explore different perspectives on sex.
