Recent reports have shown that the stationery industry in Malaysia has been facing drastic drops in revenue due to the pandemic. Sales of stationery have dropped 50 percent due to the Movement Control Order and Covid-19. Bookstores have noticed their business dip close to 70 percent as schools were temporarily closed and students turned to home-based learning, which resulted in lesser demand for textbooks and workbooks. Stationers and booksellers are now encouraged to incorporate stationery into new avenues.

Pentel is a brand that supports sustainability and different forms of creativity. Their products have won numerous green awards and were globally recognized to be versatile and innovative.  With this in mind, we strive to create an advertising campaign that promotes artistic aspects of creating renewed goods from old items, using an array of Pentel’s stationeries in the process.
