Limpapeh is a brand given to a group of songket weavers from a Minang tribe in Lintau, Indonesia. Our group is inspired by the natural ring formations in guava tree trunks (which are integral in the creation of their natural fabric dyes through the tree sap), and hence the creation of the identity was through the merging of the tree rings and the strings used to weave the songket cloth.
